ONE Thought (from us)
Last week we talked about lies men believe, and this week we’re talking to men again. I (Ryan) am convinced that if we want to create the greatest change in our society, it starts with reaching the men. Namely, this involves ensuring that men both SEE and EMBRACE God’s design and purpose for marriage. This means showing them that:
- Marriage, as an institution, is very good
- Finding a worthy wife is necessary (i.e. not optional)
- Family is God’s idea
To this end, we must embrace a systematically biblical idea of Covenant, love, and purpose of marriage, then teach it to ourselves, our brothers in Christ, and our boys who will one day grow up to be (Lord willing) godly married men. Then, and only by God’s grace, we’ll begin to see a shift in families, the church, and society.
